Wusthof's Grand Prix II collection of knives are full-tang and precision-forged from a single piece of high-carbon stainless steel. It's handle provides a secure and comfortable grip with its pebble-textured, specially developed polypropylene. The 7" Hollow Edge Santoku Knife is designed with a thinner blade than the more Western chef's knife, featuring a 10º cutting edge. It gradually curves up at the very end providing more straight edge than a chef's knife. The hollow edge knife has evenly spaced indentations that create air pockets between the blade and the food being chopped. This reduces friction and drag by gently pushing food off the blade. This set includes a 8" x 12" bamboo cutting board.
