The hollow indentations in the blade's edge reduce friction by gently pushing food away, so it won't tear or cling to the knife.

The hollow edge of the Wusthof Classic Cook's Knife is crafted with evenly spaced vertical indentations, which create small air pockets between the blade and the food. The air pockets gently push food away from the blade and reduce friction and drag.

  • It's best to store your Wusthof knife so its edge and your fingers are protected, preferably in a block or in-drawer knife tray.
