COVID-19 Policies & Procedures

In light of current healthcare concerns, we want to assure our customers that we are monitoring the rapidly-changing COVID-19 situation and following all suggested guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Georgia Department of Public Health. Please know that the guidance emphasizes the following practices:
  • Staying home if a person (staff or student) is sick
  • Washing hands often
  • Covering coughs and sneezes
  • Performing routine cleaning of the workplace

If you are not feeling well, or you have been around someone who is sick or has traveled to areas affected by COVID-19, we ask that you stay home. If you have been exposed or have tested positive for COVID-19, we will issue a class credit so that you may attend another class at a later date. Please email classes@cookswarehouse.com.

Due to health department regulations, leftovers are not allowed outside the classroom, unless specifically mentioned in the class description.

Demonstration vs Hands On Classes

All participation classes will be listed as hands on or partial hands on. These classes last three hours and have a maximum capacity of 8 students. Demonstration classes last two hours and have a maximum capacity of 12 students, unless otherwise noted. (Note: capacities vary for kids and family fun classes.)

What to Expect

Students who attend classes will receive printed recipes, tasting portions of the food prepared in class, and complimentary beverage service. Students will receive a 10% discount for in-store purchases (excluding large appliances, services, and gift cards) or on future class registrations the day of the class. An additional 10% coupon will be given out for a future visit to one of our stores.

Students will work in teams of four or more to prepare the recipes. You will be standing and cooking for the duration of class. Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back.

Age Policy

Our age limit for all classes (excluding designated kids and family fun classes) is that students must be 18 years of age or older to attend. Students younger than 18 must be approved by the designated chef to take the class. You must call the store in advance and we will contact you if approved. If a younger student is approved by the chef, they must be accompanied by a paying adult. Please remember that alcohol is served in our "adult" classes.

Beverage Service

In public classes, one glass of wine will be served with dinner unless otherwise noted. (We offer various wine and demonstration classes where multiple tastings are offered). We do not allow outside beverages into our public classes. We also offer water (coffee, tea, and soda upon request.)

Food Policy

Unless otherwise stated in the description or title, you must eat the food prepared in class on the premises. Due to health code policy, we do not allow any leftover food to be taken outside of the store.

Food Allergies

Nuts and common food allergens are frequently used in our kitchens. If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction, please check with the cooking school in advance of booking so see if an accommodation can be made. Adjustments cannot be made during a class.

Class Changes

We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a class 48 hours prior to its scheduled time if it does not meet the minimum number of guests. We also reserve the right to change a chef or menu previously published.

Refund Policy

If you need to cancel a class, please do so at least 72 hours prior to the class to receive a refund or credit toward another class. All class reservations are taken on a first come, first serve basis so you are encouraged to sign up early. If The Cook's Warehouse cancels a class for any reason, you will be notified immediately by phone or email and can switch to another class of the same value or be fully refunded your registration fees. If the class is held, there will be no refunds for any reason. The Cook's Warehouse reserves the right to substitute an instructor or modify any class when necessary. IP Address

When you visit our Web site, our server automatically recognizes your Internet Protocol address (IP address) or domain name. In order to enhance our Web site, we may track the way our visitors and customers are using the site. Personal information, such as your name and e-mail address, is not included in this analysis.
