Chef Juan Montier, Co-owner and Executive Chef of the boutique catering and event décor company Chez Montier, Inc., looks at cuisine through the lens of an artist with presentation being as important as flavor. That's because Chef Juan is a visual artist. He was trained as an architect and interior designer and he brings to his work a unique holistic approach to food presentation. Chef Juan not only writes out his ideas, he also sketches his dishes and then brings them to life. Chef Juan is no stranger to food TV. He's demonstrated his cooking acumen on TV shows including ABC's "The View," WXIA's "Atlanta & CO," "Atlanta Plugged In" on CBS 46, and "Real Moms, Real Stories, Real Savvy" for PBS. Chef Juan was the subject of "The Dinner Architect," a 60-minute AIB TV Special. He has also been featured on radio shows including NPR's "City Lights," "The Steve Harvey Morning Show," "The Dana Barrett Show," "Atlanta Eats," and the V103 Morning Show. Chez Montier's client list includes high profile superstars like Diana Ross, Cedric The Entertainer, CeCe Winans, Steve Harvey, and Usher. Corporate event clients range from the NFL Super Bowl LIII, to luxury brands Tiffany, De Beers and Bloomingdales, and companies like Ford and Calvin Klein, Emory University, BrightHouse, and others. Chef Juan also believes in giving back to the community. He served on the board for The NAMES Project Foundation and has volunteered with numerous nonprofit organizations including the One Hundred Black Men of Atlanta, C.H.O.I.C.E.S. (Center for Helping Obesity in Children End Successfully), Morehouse School of Medicine, NBAF and the Greater Atlanta Metropolitan Chapter of Jack and Jill.
