Staub Cookware is made of enameled cast iron which is a traditional and strong material with the following properties and advantages:
- It retains heat better than any material, including stainless steel and aluminum.
- The equal distribution of heat will eliminate hot spots, allowing you to cook the most delicate dishes.
- The black matte enamel interior of Staub cookware does not require seasoning and will not react to acidic foods.
- The more you use your Staub product, the better it will perform. The oils used and created when cooking will penetrate the pores of the matte enamel and create a natural, smooth non-stick surface.
- The enamel exterior comes in a variety of rich colors and the smooth ceramic base is usable on all cooking surfaces – including induction cooktops.
- Staub has self-basting spikes underneath the lids of this cookware. Self-basting spikes ensure continuous natural basting by distributing flavorful juices to all parts of the dish.
- Each piece of Staub cookware has been personally designed by Mr. Francis Staub and individually crafted in a sand mould.
- Because of its outstanding performance Staub is used and praised by the most celebrated chefs around the world.
- The Staub Cocotte is a classic French oven and is the perfect implement for stews, roasts, soups, casseroles and other one-pot classics. It is available in both round and oval shapes and in a wide range of sizes – from individual mini-cocottes through to a 12.75qt oven.
- Staub Collectible Items –combine fully functional cookware with imaginative shapes including animals, fruit and vegetables. They also make traditional shaped cookware with special handles reflecting their use – such as Coq au Vin casseroles and Bouillabaisse pots.
- Staub Tea Pots combine traditional and modern styles and allow you to heat water and prepare your tea in the same kettle.
