Scanpan cookware brings a whole new dimension to non stick technology. The unique process used to make the Scanpan ceramic-titanium surface results in a product that is an enormous improvement over previous generations of non stick pans. The body of a Scanpan product is made from a core of solid, squeeze cast aluminum forged into shape with 200 tons of pressure. The thickness of the pan prevents warping and keeps the pan base perfectly flat, which is especially important when used with glass top or ceramic ranges.

The patented non stick surface is created by firing a ceramic-titanium compound into the pan at 36,000F and twice the speed of sound. The ceramic-titanium particles briefly liquefy and permanently anchor themselves in the pan. At this point, the specially formulated non stick compound is embedded in the ceramic-titanium surface.
