The Wusthof 2 stage Asian knife sharpener gives you a simple way of sharpening knives with Japanese style blades, like a Santoku (both regular edge and hollow edge). This sharpener is designed to accomodate the sharper angle of a Japanese style blade.
It comprises two V-shaped cutting heads; one with carbide steel blades (for sharpening) and one with carbide blades (for honing). Simply draw the blade through the carbide head and it sharpens in 3 or 4 strokes and repeat on the ceramic side to hone the blade.
A floating round sharpening rod which conforms to the angle of scissor blades allows you to sharpen left-handed or right-handed scissors with this sharpener, as well.
The E-Z grip handle and rubberized base feet help keep the sharpener in place and and make it safe to use
