Details
The Miyabi 7000D Santoku Knife is a sharp, Damascus finish, Japanese style small chef's knife.

Miyabi 7000D knives are constructed with 32 layers of select steel wrapping a core of CMV60 stainless steel in a stunning wave pattern, resulting in a Damask design that is exceptionally hard, sharp and beautiful.  The CMV60 core has the strength, durability and sharpness demanded by Japanese tradition and the Damask styling adds a sophisticated beauty to these knives.

The traditional "D shaped" handle is the key to effortless finger-tip control.  Elegantly styled from stainless steel and Micarta (a multi-layered synthetic compound of linen and synthetic resins), Miyabi knives have perfect weight and balance.

Seki has been the centre of the Japanese sword and knife industry since the 14th century.  In 2004 Zwilling J.A. Henckels acquired one of Seki's leading manufactureres of top quality knives.   Today this manufacturing site combines German engineering and Zwilling J.A.Henckels strict quality standards with the finest Japanese craftmanship. The result is MIYABI, Japanese knives at their best.  Professional and amateur chefs alike are beginning to appreciate the value of sharp Japanese knives for western cooking.  MYABI knives are among the sharpest of their kind.  They are knives that will please the most discerning consumers in Japan and all over the world.  Zwilling J.A.Henckels and Japanese Iron Chef Rokusaburo Michiba jointly developed these knife series representing the marriage of Japanese knife tradition and western taste.

The ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS brand dates back to
1731 when knife-maker Peter Henckels from Solingen registered the "Twin" symbol as his trademark with the Cutlers´ Guild of Solingen. This symbol which is now well-known all over the world , is thus one of the oldest trademarks in the world.   Today products by ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS are recognized globally as the symbol for the highest possible quality and function.
