Fully encapsulated CookStar base which can be used on any cooking surface, including induction cooktops. The CookStar base is made of stainless steel with a 6mm aluminum core to ensure even heat distribution and superior heat storage. These layers are heat treated and bonded under pressure creating a single piece. A CookStar base is slightly concave to ensure the base is absolutely flat when heated and has expansion joints to allow for the aluminum to expand without affecting the stainless steel.
