A  Bread Lame is a sharp blade used to cut bread dough before it goes into the oven - which helps you create decorative patterns and designs in the dough.
It consists of a curved-edged knife which used to cut decorative patterns into raw bread dough. When bread dough hits the hot oven, it rises, thrusting open these slits to make artistic grape clusters, basket weavings, star shapes, etc.
Also known as a grignette, this 1-3/4" stainless steel fixed blade is extremely sharp and comes with a protective cap.
