These Revol Belle Cuisine Oval Cocottes have a classic oval shape with large handles at each end.  Ideal for making casseroles, stews, pot roasts etc. they warm up gently in the oven gently cooking foods and releasing all their flavors and then cool down slowly, keeping the prepared food warm when the cocotte is transferred from the oven to the table.

Revol porcelain is made of  a secret mix that includes clay, quartz, feldspar and kaolin fired at ultra high temperatures which gives it the properties that make it unique.  It can withstand both mechanical shock & thermal shock so it can go from refrigerator or freezer to oven to table (it has a working temperature range of -4°F to 572°F).  It can also be used in a microwave and is dishwasher safe - for easy maintenance.

 

There is no cadmium or lead in Revol porcelain and it is non porous so it does not absorb fat, odors or bacteria - making it a safe, hygenic and natural product.
